Darrien Shields

Darrien Lee Shields, 61, of Erie, Pa passed away on August 3, 2025 at his residence. He was born in Miami, FL on January 5, 1961, son of the late Robert Anzie and Julia B. (Taylor) Shields, Sr. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jo Shields, one brother, William Shields, a sister Rose Shields along with additional brothers and sisters.

Darrien enjoyed listening to music, watching football, being a Miami Dolphins fan, spending time with his children, grandchildren and family, reading his bible and watching action movies.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Krystle Shields (Tarrel Petty), Derek Shields, Samantha Shields, Jermaine Shields (Brittany), Brittney Shields and Savannah Allen, all of Erie, Pa, his siblings, Robert Shields of Erie, Pa, Shantis Shields of Virginia and Donald Bonner of Erie, Pa, 18 grandchildren, many aunts, uncles, including a special aunt,  Annie Volk of Erie, Pa, and nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to Davis-Garr Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc., 459 East 12th Street, Erie, Pa 16503 on Sunday, August 17, 2025 from 11:00 am until the time of his service at 1:00 pm. Burial will be private. Please send condolences to: davisgarrfuneralhome.com.
