Daniel Ray Woodard, age 87, of Rolling Fork, Mississippi, passed away Thursday, January 29, 2026, at home. Daniel was a loving and caring man. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, family barbecues, talking on the phone with family and friends, along with attending Sunday Church Service, and the annual Church revivals in his Mississippi hometown.
He was born September 4th, 1938, to the late Fred Woodard and Carrie Twillie Woodard. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Fred Woodard Jr., and Amos Woodard, daughter Patricia Ann Woodard, and grandson Jason D. Tate.
Daniel leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife of nineteen years, Christine King Woodard; one son, David Arrington Woodard, two daughters Frankie Woodard, and Rosalind Barnett, brother Melvin Stevie Woodard (Diane), Corey Woodard (Sharon); sisters Mae Page, Edna Woodard, and Freddie Mae Trotter, seven plus grandchildren; sixteen plus great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
Daniel was also a positive figure in his six stepchildren lives for over forty years: Everlean Wilson, A.D. King Jr., Albert King, Jessie King, Debbie King, and Patricia King. Two Step-grandchildren that preceded in death, Dionne King and Stephanie King, he has thirteen step-grandchildren, and five step-greatgrandchildren.
