Charles L. Anderson

Charles Lawrence Anderson, 97, formerly of 2040 Kilpatrick Avenue, Erie, Pa passed away on September 5, 2023, at the Pennsylvania Soldiers and Sailors Home.

Charles was born in Erie, Pa on February 14, 1926, son of the late Lawrence and Charlotte (Vanderhouf) Anderson. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Imogene (Monrean) Andreson and his siblings, Marjorie Leo, Edward Anderson, Raymond Anderson and a son-in-law, William Smith.

Charles graduated from Academy High School, served in the United States Navy from 1944 to 1946, worked on the Pennsylvania Railroad, and retired from Western and Southern Life Insurance Company after 24 years of service.

He is survived by his children, John Anderson of Erie, Pa, Christopher Anderson and wife Bonnie of Union City, Pa, Jannet Porkywiecki and husband Raymond of Waterford, Pa, Jeannie Anderson of Erie, Pa, Sally Smith of Millcreek and one brother, John "Jack" Anderson of Erie, Pa. In addition, he is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Services will be private.
