Obituary

Carrie Darlene Jaroszewicz 75, of Erie passed away May 6, 2023, at her residence.  Born March 29, 1948, in Johnstown, she was the daughter of the late Alvin Glenn and Katherine E. (Steinman) Coy and the wife of Witold “Vic” Jaroszewicz.

Darlene worked as a cook for Erie Independence House. 

Survivors include her beloved husband; a daughter, Katherine Jaroszewicz of Erie; sisters, Hazel Lydic, Shirley Chaney (Alfred), and Janet Coy; grandchildren, Jessica Schmidt, Shannon Schmidt and Katelynn Schmidt all of Erie; three great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, John Steinman and Alvin Glenn Coy, Jr., sisters, Alice Coy and Linda Coy and a grandson, Bradley. 

Family and friends will be received Friday, May 12, 2023, from 2 PM to 4 PM and 7 PM to 9 PM at the Davis-Garr Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc., 459 E. 12th Street Erie PA 16503.  Burial will be private at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
