Cal "Bug" Heidelberg, Jr., of Erie, was ushered into glory on November 16, 2024, at UPMC-Hamot Medical Center after succumbing to a long-time illness. He was born on September 12, 1956, to the late Cal Heidelberg, Sr. and Dorothy Ree McClendon Heidelberg in Laurel, MS.
After relocating to Erie in 1965, Cal began his studies at Burton Elementary School and also attended East High School. Cal later went on to become a licensed Barber. He loved his craft of barbering and the joy of interacting with his clients.
Cal's favorite past times were fishing, cooking and enjoying the company of his family and friends. He had an enormous laugh a big sense of humor and will be missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Cal was preceded in death by his sister, Connie Heidelberg of Laurel, MS and his brother, Donald Heidelberg of Erie, PA.
He is survived by his significant other, Terri Thompson of Erie, PA, two sons, Cal Heidelberg, III of Erie, PA and Brandon Antwan Heidelberg of Mandon, North Dakota, three sisters, Cara Heidelberg Ransom (Willie), Dale Heidelberg Ellis (Kevin) both of Erie, PA and Brenda Heidelberg of Virginia Beach, VA, 10 grandchildren, Canye, Canyeasia, Cyree Heidelberg and Cyeer Johnson, Nevaeh and Natalya Heidelberg, Marquez Velez, Matthew Brown and Londyn Jacobs of Erie, PA and Kairo Heidelberg of Manoon, ND.
He also leaves to cherish his memory, three stepchildren, Brittany Lucas of Erie, PA, John and Teleah Hollingsworth and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Relatives and friends may call at Davis-Garr Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc., 459 East 12th Street, Erie, Pa 16503 on Thursday, November 21, 2024, from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm. Burial will be private. Please send condolences to: davisgarrfuneralhome.com.
