Bobbie Earl Hughes, of Erie, passed away on November 12, 2025. He was born in Tuscaloosa, AL on August 5,1952, a son of the late Tommie and Louise Lanier Hughes.
In addition to his parents, Bobbie was preceded in death by four brothers : Sam James, Joe Willie, Tommy, Jr. and Esaw Hughes. As well as, five sisters: Lula Scarbrough, Margret Corder, Annie Pearl Walker, Mammie Ellis, and Hattie Jones.
He is survived by five sisters: Rosie Singley of Salinas, Ca., Mattie Thompson (Husband Billie) of Salinas, Ca., Murry Beverly of Anchorage, AK., Bettye Walker Chapman (Husband Robert) of Erie, Pa. and Vonnie Foster(Husband Cleveland) of Tuscaloosa, AL.
Bobbie is also survived by his Wife Cynthia Freeman Hughes of Cincinnati, OH. Son Bobby Earl Harris(Wife Carlisha) of Erie, PA. Daughters: Nicole Harris
of Cincinnati, OH., Estasha Harris Of Cincinnati, OH., Bianca Manning (Husband Willie) of Erie, Pa., Lavette Hayes(Husband Charles) of Cincinnati, Oh., Son Tony Harris (Wife Dorisann) of Erie, Pa., Daughter Lucinda Harris of Cincinnati Oh. and Monica Jeter of Erie, Pa. He is also survived by special friend of many years, Germaine Mooney as well as several grand, great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews who he loved dearly.
Relatives and friends are invited to Davis – Garr Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc. 459 East 12th Street, Erie, Pennsylvania 16503 on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, from 11:00 AM until the time of his Funeral Service beginning at 1:00 PM.
