Betty Ann Urch

Betty Ann Urch, (82) of Erie, Pa passed away on September 26, 2025, peacefully at her residence. She was born in Erie, Pa on November 11, 1942, daughter of the late Edward and Wanda (Kolodziejczak) Pakela. Betty retired from General Electric. She was a diehard Buffalo Bills fan, she loved to read and do crossword puzzles.

She was proceeded in death by her husband Joseph P Young and brother Thomas Pakela.

She is survived by her children, Bridget DeSanti (Michael), Leslie First (William) and Wesley Urch, all of Erie, Pa, her grandchildren, Alexandra DeSanti (Jordan), Rachel DeSanti, Sierra First, Nevada First (Elijah) and Brandon First, her great grandchildren, Beckham DeSanti, Ritter Turner and Everly DeSarick, her sister Joann Canavan, nephew Thomas Stafford, niece Stacie Stafford.

Thank you to Interim Hospice, with their exceptional care, our Mom was able to pass away at home comfortably and peacefully surrounded by loved ones.

A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
