Alexander H. Ritchie

Alexander Hakiam Ritchie, aka Alex or Alejandro, 31, of Erie, Pennsylvania, passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2023. He was born on August 13, 1991, in Erie, Pennsylvania, to John D. Ritchie, Jr. and Stephanie Plaza-Nyikuach.
Alex attended East High School, where he excelled academically.
Alex was passionate about playing video games; his favorites were 2K and Madden. He was a die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers Fan. His favorite color was purple. Most of the time, you could see him with a big smile, dressed color-coordinated from head to toe. He kept a clean cut and crisp facial line. Alex’s most enjoyment was spending time with his family, friends, and his two princesses.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John D. and Leola Holloway Ritchie, Sr.
He leaves to cherish his memory his father, John D. Ritchie; mother, Stephanie Plaza-Nyikuach; significant other, Kataccione Johnson; two daughters Ka’Maya and Anastasia Ritchie; maternal grandfather Jose Plaza; maternal grandmother, Beverly DA-Plaza; eleven siblings Dannielle Beason, Jermaine Saunders, Afrieeica (Wendell) Woodard, Likeith (Tammy) Saunders, Trina Williams, Latosha (Marzell) Stovall, John Blanks, Anthony (Sanya) Blanks, Tabitha Lindsey, Cristina Ritchie, and Jose Andino all of Erie, PA; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews,  great nieces, and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to Davis-Garr Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc., 459 East 12th Street, Erie, PA 16503, on Monday, August 7, 2023, from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 12:30 PM. Burial will follow at Erie Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to www.davisgarrfuneralhome.com.
