Ado Quinn, Jr. was born September 22, 1955, in Erie, Pennsylvania. He attended Tech Memorial High School, was drafted in the U.S. Marine Corps, and later pursued his passion of art at Johnstown Trade School, specializing in Folk Art and Afrocentric Painting. His creativity and love for cultural expression were evident in his work. Many were proud to collect his art. Ado spent the last 20 years of his life in Cleveland, Ohio, where he was actively involved in Christian Ministries. He found strength and joy in his faith, Gospel Music, and Jazz. Known for his adventurous spirit and warm heart, he deeply cherished his time with family and friends. Despite facing significant health challenges, Ado lived with remarkable resilience and grace. He never let his physical limitations define him, living fully, with purpose and joy.
He is survived by a daughter, Rahdia Henderson; siblings, Barbara (Phillip) Boayue and Mary Ann Quinn both of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Patricia Quinn, Sylvester (Marchele) Quinn, Robert (Lisa) Quinn, Arlene Quinn, and Frankie (Tracy) Quinn all of Erie, Pennsylvania; grandsons, Fettieri Henderson, Kayrheon Henderson and Deviaughn Hansbrew; great grandchildren, Jahsias Henderson, Xiomara Henderson, and Xi'Aire Henderson. He was a devoted uncle, fondly remembered by 28 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Luci Nell Quinn; a grandson, Devonte Henderson; a nephews, Terail Bennett and Charles Woodard; a niece, Shalanda Butts.
Family and friends will be received, August 23, 2025, at the Christian Ministries of the Apostolic Faith Church, 930 Liberty Street, Erie PA 16502 from 11:00 AM until a Celebration of Life at 12 Noon. Ado Quinn, Jr's life was one of perseverance, creativity, and deep love. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
