A’Myah Janae Mary Jones

A’Myah Janae Mary Jones, 10 months, of Erie, passed away suddenly on July 16, 2024, at Hamot Hospital. She was born August 30, 2023, to Ashton Alexander Jones DeBerry Sr  and Shakara LaRae Allen of Erie, Pa.

She is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather’s  Alexander Alvin  Jones and John Robert Deberry Sr, and her paternal grandmother Sheila Annette Spearman. As well as her maternal grandfather John Wesley Allen, John William Allen (great- grandfather), Geraldine Lola Baskerville Allen (great-grandmother), Edward James (great uncle), Brandon Allen (cousin), Tahj Naki Horton Allen (cousin), Henry and Rosemary Neal (great grandparents), Tamika Lashae Patterson (cousin).

Even though A’Myah didn’t get to bless us with her presence for long on this earth, she still made a huge impact on her entire family in the best possible way. She was full of joy and laughter, and her smile would light up the entire room. As meek and mild as she was, her presence was very loud. She loved to spend time with her Uncle Ray watching Scooby Doo. She also loved being read to and sang to. She loved being held and cuddled. A’Myah was inseparable from her twin sister. They would always fall asleep holding hands smiling at eachother. She was a blessing to our lives and taken too soon. She will be missed forever.

She is survived by her twin sister A’Miyah A’Shea Rose Jones. Ja’Ron Sijil Johnson (brother), Ashton Alexander Jones Jr.( brother), Chyna Jones (sister), Kamariona Perez (sister), Dasoni Da’Raeya Monae Elverton (sister), Ashiyah Jones (sister), Kamari Jones (sister), A’ Sheila Jones (sister), Kehlani Jones (sister),  Barbara Ann DeBerry ( paternal grandmother) Patricia Neal (maternal grandmother), Shana Marie Neal (aunt) Aishya Renee Wallace (aunt), Luz Katiria Espinosa (aunt), Kashima Townsend (aunt), Shannon Anthony Neal (uncle), Ravon Eugene Hansbrew (uncle), Shaniah Rae Neal (cousin), Shianne Renee Neal (cousin), Ella Neimeic (cousin), Jay’Vion Neal Stevens (cousin).

Funeral services will be held at St. Marks Episcopal Church, 4701 Old French Road, Erie, Pa 16509 on Thursday July 25, 2024, at 10am. Burial to follow at Lakeside Cemetery and Gardens, 1718 Eastlake Road, Erie, Pa 16511.
