Mildred (Tarnowski) Modzelewski

Mildred H.  (Tarnowski) Modzelewski, age 94, of Erie, passed away on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at St.  Mary’s Home East.  She was born in Dunkirk, NY on August 8, 1926 to the late John and Agnes (Witkowski) Tarnowski.
Mildred was a homemaker, was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church and St.  Stan’s Rosary Society, and enjoyed crafts, crocheting, and baking.
In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley J.  Modzelewski in 1980, five brothers, Conrad Tarnowski, Alphonse Tarnowski, Edward Tarnowski, Raymond Tarnowski, and Chester Tarnowski, sister Jane Tarnowski, and grandson, Justin Anderson.
Mildred is survived by her daughter, Gail Anderson of Holly Springs, NC, brother Jerome Tarnowski (Betty) of Dunkirk, NY, three granddaughters Megan Hysom, Kelly Anderson, and Erin Caudill, six great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Following all current Covid-19 guidelines, visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at St. Stanislaus Church, 516 E. 13th St. Erie, PA 16503 from 9:00 am until the time of the Mass at 10:00 am.  Family and friends may also attend the Mass virtually via Facebook Live at https://www.facebook.com/Edward-J-Garr-Funeral-Home-Inc-100130284712299.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
