Joshua Dupree Roberts born May 3, 1994; birth name Shannon
Salter 28 passed away unexpectedly on his birthday May 3, 2022.
He is the son of Cecil R. Roberts and Janet L. Roberts of Erie, PA.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Willie
Meyers and Sarah J. Meyers, paternal grandparents Roxie L.
Roberts and Theodore Roberts.
Joshua loved to eat…everything! His mother, Janet couldn't keep
food in the house, and she loved watching him eat. He was very
talented. He displayed his artistic abilities through his eye for
drawing and his passion for music. If he saw it, he could draw it, no
matter how intricate the details. He also spent a lot of time playing
the drums. You could always hear him practicing in his room for
hours. Another one of his thrills was cars. He enjoyed riding,
admiring, and drawing them. But most importantly, he had a
loving, open heart for giving to others; he was always giving and
sharing to everyone especially his family.
Joshua was grateful for everything, and anything given to him. You
could see the spark of appreciation in his eyes and the bright smile
on his face showing his gratitude. He really did live for all the
small things in life. Through his struggles and life's ups and downs,
he knew the Lord! He was given a GREAT! foundation and God
knew his heart.
Joshua leaves behind one son Jonathan Matthew Arrington age 5 of
Erie Pa, siblings Jeremy E. Roberts (Kateri) of Erie Pa, Devin M.
Roberts of Erie Pa, Isaac J. Roberts of Pinellas Park FL, Sariah L.
Plott (Deiontre) of Erie Pa, Richard Salter of New York NY, Lavell
Salter of Erie Pa, Jesse Watkins (Kayla) of Pittsburgh Pa, Jonathan
Bardol of Meadville Pa, Shaqueena Watkins of Pittsburgh Pa and
Jaisa Watkins of Pittsburgh Pa.
Joshua will be missed by plenty of nieces, nephew's aunts, uncles,
cousins, and extended family near and far. The family would like to
thank everyone who has prayed, called, texted, stopped by or who
has given any monetary gifts.

Family and friends are invited to Friendship Baptist Church 1719 Cascade Street, Erie, Pennsylvania 16502 on Saturday, May 21, 2022 from 10am until the time of his Homegoing Celebration beginning at noon.
