Joseph C. Zeiber

Joseph Clayton Zeiber, 66, of Erie, lost his battle with cancer on April 24, 2024. He was born in Erie, Pa on August 7, 1957, son of the late John K. and Elizabeth (Buziewicz) Zeiber. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, Jason Filipowski and two brothers, John and William S. Zeiber.

Joseph was an avid Steelers fan, he enjoyed spending time with his grandson Caleb, fishing and playing ball. He also enjoyed playing his guitar. He and his wife Marlene were inseparable, as long as they were together, they were happy.

Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Marlene S. Filipowski, his mother-in-law, Marilyn Whittaker, one daughter, Melissa Filipowski (John Peterson), one sister, Pam Zeiber Burton McDonald (Ed), three grandsons, Caleb Britton, Tylor Piotrowski and Alex Kaschak, one granddaughter, Kendra Piotrowski and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call to Davis-Garr Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc., 459 East 12th Street, Erie, Pa on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 from 2:00 pm until the time of the funeral service at 4:00 pm. Burial will be private. Please send condolences to: davisgarrfuneralhome.com.
