Ikenna Davis

Ikenna Davis , age 44, passed away unexpectedly on March 19, 2023. He was born in Erie, PA on July 11, 1978, son of Frederick Davis and Laura Taylor-Evans.  He graduated from Central High School in 1997 where he received several academic and community involvement awards. He was active at Boys & Girls Club on West 8th Street playing sports and meeting friends. He enjoyed walking to visit his family on weekends, played video games, bought Hip Hop/Rap cassette tapes and CDs, shot billiards(pool) with my father and siblings, and loved cartoons. His favorite cartoons were Hong Kong Phooey and Fat Albert. Many friends and loved ones nicknamed him "Big Man". He had a kind and servant heart since he gave love to those he met and offered to help those in need like his father.  He embodied positivity and peace and didn't start trouble.  He resided at Lakeshore Community Services group homes for nearly 20 years where they sent him to work at Gertrude Barber Center, Walmart East Supercenter, and Crosby Stores as a janitor which he received numerous work ethic and good attendance awards. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Addie Lou Mansfield and James Taylor; paternal grandparents Leon Davis Sr. and Cassie Howard-Davis; maternal uncles Benny Joe and Roosevelt Taylor; maternal aunt Eva Early; paternal uncle Leon Davis Jr. "Mickey"; cousins Rose Jones, Patrice Anderson, William Shields Sr, and Brian Garlington Jr; great nephew Quentin Knight Jr. He leaves behind to cherish his memories of many sisters and brothers Juermal Evans, Dousjoura Griffin, and Cassidy Davis(Derrick), Albert Richards, Alfonso Davis, Monterio Evans, Oesya Evans-Tate, Raheen Davis, and Dominick Davis; Aunts Ranee Davis, Julia Shields, Annie Volk, Denise Green, LaTonya Moffett-Walker; Uncles Michael Wardell, Kevin Foster, Willie C Taylor, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Neavins (Renee), Mr. and Mrs. Larry Neavins (Angela) and Alfonso Davis Foster. A close family friend Andre Ritchie. A host of many nieces, nephews, cousins, and six great nieces and six great nephews.
